Cooking along

It's been a long time since the last post, but that's actually a good thing. Nothing too eventful (meaning bad) to talk about. Noah has been doing great. He was pretty small at his checkup last month, but he seems healthy.

We're suckers

This weekend, I learned first-hand why kid-centric marketing works. We got a coupon for a free sitting and large photo from one of those kiddie photo places. Of course, they take many photos and give you the option to buy more. Well, of course when we saw the photos of Noah, we felt like buying all of them. Judging by the other parents looking at photos of their kids, every parent feels this way. Ok, so we're suckers, but not entirely. We still got some nice pictures of our cutie pie.

Happy birthday Noah

Noah celebrated his Valentine's birthday a few days early by having some of his friends over. It's hard to believe it's been one year already. Noah has changes so much every day that it never gets routine, and I'm really looking foward to the next year.

Turtles are short

Last night, Noah said his first word that wasn't "mama" or "dada". While reading a book to him with the line "turtles are short", he said: "turtle" very clearly. Maybe talking is just around the corner.

Standing tall

Thought I would just post a few pictures of Noah standing even though he has been doing that for several months already. Now, though, he's starting to cruise, or scoot while standing against furniture.

Happy New Year

Noah's back for the new year. I guess my frequency of posting is pretty low, but hopefully it will improve now that Noah is back to his old self. This week, Noah's grandpa gave him his very first haircut. It was sad to see his curly locks go, but I think he looks as cute as ever with his short hair. Judge for yourself.

Sleepless in Oakland

Well, Noah has been sick for almost a week now with a cold. It's amazing how much a baby can change during a sickness. This is only Noah's second sickness, so we don't have a tremendous amount of data, but he has become a totally different baby during his two colds. He doesn't sleep well, he's fussy, and he won't eat, all of which are very different from his normally easy-going self. Let's hope this ends soon. I feel like a new recruit in the army going through boot camp.

What's going on?

Over the last month, Noah's sleeping pattern has changed dramatically. Unfortunately, part of that is waking up in the middle of the night. I sense it has something to do with his increased awareness of his surroundings and understanding that we are in the next room. Hopefully, this won't last long.

New blog for Noah pictures

I'll try to post regular pictures of Noah and update his progress here. This picture is Noah on his 9-month birthday.
